In limited playing time, he’s destroying the ball. As a shortstop. Can he maintain this as he moves up?BB-Ref

A much better eye than daddy. When you’re walking a lot and not striking out a lot and making good contact and have a great eye in the pros at 18 years old… There’s not many players you can say that about.BB-Ref
He’s been shooting up the minors with what seem like consistent but unspectacular numbers. Is there something here that I’m not seeing?BB-Ref
Sat next to this guy’s mom at a bar around the corner from my house last night, so I figured I had to look him up.
He looks OK. He’s OBP is increasing as he’s moving up, which is a GREAT sign for a young hitter. But there’s nothing that jumps out about his bat just yet.
Side note: Statistically, his arm behind the plate looks awful so far: 46 steals in 51 attempts. When I pointed this out to his mother, she attributed it to sloppy scorekeepers in the minors charging him for things like defensive indifference. But if his arm is this poor, there’s no way he makes it as a catcher. And if he doesn’t make it as a catcher, it will be that much harder to make it anywhere else.BB-Ref
Off to a really great start, but in the very low minors. Let’s see if he can maintain this.BB-Ref
Off to a hot start this year. Bat looks decent, but he’s a bit old to finally be making his mark in the majors. He may have 2-3 decent years in him as he peaks, but I don’t think he’s good enough to last much longer.BB-Ref
Nothing yet, but he’s a baby.BB-Ref
Looks decent. Peripherals are in place at a young age, so the power should come.BB-Ref
Might be something. Power is there, and advancement up the minor league ladder doesn’t seem to be slowing him down. Could make a major league impact at a very young age.BB-Ref
