This guy was looking pretty good before 2015, but now he’s really lighting it up in the high minors. Simultaneous improvement and advancement through the minor leagues is a great indicator of success. And he’s very young.
I don’t see him becoming a superstar with the bat, but I think he’ll end up having a pretty good career. Statistically, he’s not exceptional in any area, but he doesn’t seem to have any glaring weaknesses, either.
At 6’4″ and 210 lbs, he’s pretty huge for a shortstop. I don’t see him staying there as he gets older and bigger. A-Rod and Ripken types, large men who are agile enough to stay at the position for any period of time, are rare. But even they had to move eventually.
